Once Rich Walton had decided in 1993 to
start a dedicated squash-wear brand, the first thing to find was the
name. Rich found the idea from a 1992 T-shirt he had designed for his
local squash tournament. |

  |
So with the 'squash design' name decided a series of 9 T-shirts were
printed up in mono color with various designs, and sold into the clubs
in northern Italy to get a reaction.

The 'ball and court' graphics for the 1994/5
collection were used for various applications. Here is one of the
original hand drawn pen and ink designs. |

The logo takes on its first evolution with the split
rackets losing their strings for a more symbolic design structure, shown
here in embroidery form |

On the right is the second design evolution
for the 1995/6 collection. The lettering is now combined with a stronger
font and the split racket form moved underneath. |

The ball and court design becomes a fabric print used
throughout the 95/96 collection. |

For the 1999/2000 collection the logo, as seen on the
left, undergoes a further evolution which further abstracts the split
rackets, that now flow into the oval contour. |

The updated oval design is
now used also as a stand-alone logo symbol for the brand. It's our
'swoosh'. |
